The Barbershop Blog 

I created the barbershop blog as an online sharing space among black men and boys. I needed something like this when I was in a dark place. This blog is a low-stakes way to give back by providing thought and experiences to the community.  The barbershop blog's work is centered around thoughts, feelings, encouragement, and culture as it pertains to the social and emotional improvement of the young Black male. 

We invite Black boys to submit a short blog post and if selected, will receive a $35.00 Venmo payment for a haircut and a feature on our blog and social media accounts. We hope that this small gesture of kindness will help promote the growth and healing of the Black male community.
